Steve Ciraolo
I'm Steve Ciraolo. I build software systems and work on applied AI, evaluation, and agent infrastructure through Rank One Labs.
Implementation and measurement
My current work connects implementation with measurement: defining the task, instrumenting the system, examining human judgments, comparing alternatives, and using the results to improve the workflow. The projects here make that process inspectable.
Scout connects an operational workflow to human feedback and replay. Oakridge organizes software work around durable workflows and reviewable artifacts. Assay records paired experiments so their results can be examined alongside the inputs, evaluations, and costs.
Engineering background
My background spans software systems, blockchain, and applied cryptography. Earlier work includes protocol implementation, indexing systems, payment and securities infrastructure, and privacy-preserving applications.
- Veranon
- An anonymous feedback platform using Semaphore for cryptographic anonymity.
- Thrackle
- Work on AMM protocol features in Solidity, a Python testing framework, and an SDK for an on-chain compliance engine.
- Passage Protocol
- Upgradeable dynamic NFT contracts and a TypeScript indexing framework.
- Lithium Finance
- Decentralized asset pricing architecture spanning smart contracts, indexing, oracles, and a web interface.
- TokenSoft
- ERC-1404 securities infrastructure, smart contracts, and a full-stack token issuance platform.
